Sufi Meditation, Healing, & Whirling |
In this new year, our Sufi Meditation and Healing sessions on Thursday evenings will continue. Please join us for these special events of with Leonardo Stoute "Bapak Waleed". Leonardo will be leading a traditional Sufi Zikr circle and mediation session with a special performance of the Whirling Dervish dance. The whirling dance in the traditional style of the poet Rumi is an important aspect of many Sufi orders. The Zikr, or remembrance, is a ceremony of healing for all those present and even those who only intended to come. Those in attendance are asked to close their eyes and focus on their breath and join in the chanting if they feel so inspired. The evening includes a group invocation of blessings and peace followed by a short discussion. Come enjoy the relaxing experience. Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome, including famlies and children. The event is Free! Doors will be open at 7:30pm, and the event will begin around 8.
